I actually ordered a Horizontal Case but received this instead and decided to keep it, so I'll be reviewing this case.
The obvious difference is that the Horizontal Flip Stand puts the iPad standind in Landscape position and this one's in Portrait.
PROS:
The quality of the materials used is very good and the iPad fits very tight in the case;
There's a soft white cloth-like material inside that protects the iPad's aluminum back from scratches and such;
All lateral and bottom ports and buttons are accessible;
It stands up very well, good for reading (vertical);
Easy to clean and always seems to be clean all the time, doesn't collect dust or finger marks.
CONS:
There's an internal flap on the top (not the external cover that folds) that covers the lock button and the phone jack. This flap keeps the iPad from sliding out and protects this side when you use it standing on the vertical position because you have to turn it upside down (the Home Button comes up), so if you use headphones a lot, this could be a deal breaker.
Overall it's a very good case and a recommended buy.

I tried several Ipad cases and settled on this one because of its slim design and strong build.
Pros
Made of a strong canvas material, which is water repellant and looks like it will be very durable.
Protects and covers Ipad at all corners and edges, with exception of all the plugin ports.
-Stands at a comfortable typing level.
-All ports and buttons easily accessable.
-Does not block screen at all.
-Very slim at edges, which makes holding it much more comfortable than other cases I've tried.
-Ipad slides in tightly and is very secure in the case. You could dangle it, and it would not slip.
Cons
-Band is used to close the two flaps and I doubt it will last long. Plus, I find it annoying to close the case with a band. Would have preferred magnets or button snap (although a button snap is annoying too, because it flaps around).
-It's not very pretty (esp compared to leather cases).
Note that Ipad is tight fit, and edges around screen are popped up a bit when you first use the case. These "relax" after a few days and settle back towards the Ipad.
Bottom line on why I chose this case over the 5 I have looked at: protection. I feel this one would offer the most protection in the event of a drop or liquid spill.

If I had to design my own iPad case, this is exactly what it would be. This case is similar to the official "apple" iPad case BUT the main difference is the material is more durable and it offers more protection.
Most cases leave part of the edges of the iPad exposed but this case covers all the edges and corners with a rubber/canvas like stitching that will protect the edges if you accidentally drop the iPad. The official apple iPad case is made of cloth that will offer no protection what so ever if you drop it.
The exterior of this case is made out of tough canvas but the interior is soft velvet.
I am 100% satisfied with my purchase.
(by the way, for those trying to decide between the vertical and horizontal versions of this case. The vertical version has an attached velvet cloth that holds the iPad in the case(like on the official apple iPad case) BUT it covers the audio output hole. In order to listen to your headphones or use the auxiliary output, you have to untuck the velvet attachment. The horizontal case does not cover the auxiliary output. I chose the vertical case, also the built in stand allows you to view the iPad in a vertical or horizontal position.)
